RAILWAY TRAFFIC.

IN SOUTH TARANAKI. Particulars are given in the Railway Statement of the traffic handled at every station in the Dominion. The Routh Taranaki stations show the following returns : Eltham, No. of tickets' issued 15,G48, total value forwarded £20,424 4s 3d. Normanby, 4511, £4995 19s Id. Hawera, 51,874. £36.927 16s Id. Patou, 11.993, £16,940 17s 2d. Waverloy, 7562, £6375 18s 7d. For the district the figures for the Wanganui section, which includes Taranaki stations, were as follows: Revenue £633,515. decrease £11,009. Passengers decreased 115,400, and season tickets 685. Parcels, luggage and mails increased £577. Cattle increased 3536 and sheep 76.900. Timber decreased 546 tons, and all other goods 11,<145 tons.
