REP. RUGBY FIXTURES.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In noticing the rep. football fixtures it ocuLcrs to me that Hawera in not getting at all fairly treated, a,lid in thin connection there is the Tar ana ki - W anga 11 ui combined match against New South Wales. Surely, sir, leaving parochialism out of the question, this match should be played in Ha.wera, as it is the centre between the two places. Under present arrangements the mjatch. is to be played at New Plymouth, which means that the Wanganui people who want to. .see it will have to journey 110 miles, instead of which, if :it were pliayed here, which is the natural centre, the greatest distance .to travel would be only 58 miles. Wliat are our representatives of the Taranaki Rugby Union thinking about? Cannot other local institutions take this matter up and get this end fair treatment? —I lam, 6>tc FOOTBALLER.
