WEDDING.
LAW—STANNERS. A very popular night wedding took place at the Kaponga Methodist Church (on the evening of Wednesday, sth inst., when Edith Winifred, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Law, of Kaponga, was married to Horace Dartnell Stanners, of Eltham. The Rev. A. Blakemore conducted tlie ceremony. The church wa R beautifully decorated by the bride’s many friends, and was filled to overflowing by guests and well-wishers. The bride, who entered the church on her father’s arm, wa sattired in a very pretty dress of white broche crepe de chine, beautifully beaded. The tulle veil, lent by Mrs Leo Abbott, was held in place by a wreath of white velvet leave,? and orange blossoms, and she carried a sheaf of lilies. Miss Gladys Cleland, the bridesmaid, was attired in blue georgette, and wore also a wreath of silver leaves and carried an early Victorian posy of spring flowers. The niece of the bride, little. Maisie Sulzberger, acted as flower-girl, and wore a dainty frock of apricot crepe de chine, with a wreath of silver leaves, and also carried an early Victorian posy of oring flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr L. Page, of Eltham, as best man. Following the ceremony, a gathering o.f over 70 relatives of the two families assembled for the w T edding breakfast in the . Town Hall. The usual toast list was honoured. Later, amid felicitations proffered to the accompaniment of showers of confetti and rice, the happy coupi>_ departed on their honeymoon. The bride’s travelling dress wa ß a smart applegreen velour coat frock with black panne velvet hat. An enjoyable dance, participated in by the guests, concluded the celebrations.
