GOODS NOW ACCEPTED. .'ROM OUR PARLIAMENTARY REPORTER. WELLINGTON, Aug. 19. When will the Railway Department take over the line between Te Roti and Kapuni and facilities be given to the- travelling public to use the; railway between Kapuni and OpunakeF asked the member for Egmont. Air. Coates, Minister for Railways, lepiied .that the Public Works Depaitment will require to retain control of that portion of the line from Te Roti to Kapuni until the whole section is completed to Opuhake, which is expected to be in about nine months; Leuce goods traffic is already being accepted by the Publio Works Department- over the Te Roti-Opunake line. As soon as the work in the way ot buildings and other conveniences is sufficiently advanced, arrangements h ill be made for dealing with passengers. At present ther e are no facilities available between Kapuni and Cpunake for passenger traffic.
