TRANS-PACIFIC FLIGHT.
COMMERCIAL POSSIBILITIES. «Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT NEW YORK, Aug. 19. A San Diego message states that if the naval aeroplane flight from the Pacific Coast to Hawaii is successful, Hawaiian capitalists and sugar planters plan a two million dollar commercial flying company to make regular flights to the United States. Meanwhile destroyers have been ordered to patrol the route of the flight, which is scheduled for September 2.
Amateur radioists are asked to cooperate in the effort to make new distance records and communicate to the Navy Department news of the ’planes.
