(Received Aug. 12, 12.30 .p.m.) PARIS, Aug. 11. The Socialist Federation in the Seino department ejected M. Varene, a Socialist member of the Chamber, from the party for accepting the post oi Governor-General of Indo-China. M. Varene claimed the appointment would ’offer a golden opportunity to apply Socialist labour laws to the natives* who were at present being exploited. He declared he could not retract from the promise given to the Premier. —Sydney Sun Cable.
