(From Our Own Correspondent). Euchre parties have been held lieie weekly for some time, each proving a great success. The points prize will ho given at the end of the season. .«.lns prize always acts as an incentive to p'ayers to' roll up. All moneys raised go to improvements at the hall. As the building is now free of debt, the near future may see the hall well finished off, not forgetting a good chair tor the chairman. The weather has been very broken a,id stormv. It'has interfered with genera' labour, and cheques per month have been very small. The .Mountain factory is now open, ami the farmers are anticipating a really o;ood year. prices being very satisfactory. Feed is fairly forward All the farmers are working on a sound basis. No land changed hands here during the boom, consequent'.y theie a-ie no high rihits and not likely to be any bankrupts. The school attendance has not been affected bv the comings and goings of thg share-milkers this season, although this class of the community seem to keep the school going, as the resident children have mostly passed out.
