NEW YORK YANKEES BUSY
NEW YORK, July 23. Leo Durocher, aged 19, short-stop for the Harvard Eastern League Club, lias been sold to the New York Americans for 12,000 dollars. Chicago Clubs bid 10,000 dollars, but the “Yankees” were determined to land him. The “Yankees” also expect to complete a deal with Salt Lake City Club for the return of “Lefty” Odoul, a for mer pitcher, who has" been converted into an outfielder. The “Yankees” offered 75,000 dollars for Odoul and Tony Lazerre.
