On the play of yesterday the selectors awarded the medals presented by Mr E. Nash to Zimmerman (forward), Fraser Road, and N. Lee (back), Ohangai.

REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. WANGANUI v. TARANAKI. -Keen interest is being shown in the meeting of Wanganui and Taranaki, which is fixed for Saturday at New Plymouth. The draw in. the previous match will add \ additional interest to the match. The selectors will no doubt be guided in their choice for the team against New South Wales by the form shown on Saturday, so that all will be out to do their best. The Taranaki forwards are an exceptionally good lot this year, and should lie able to more than hold their own. The backs, though on the whole good individually, do not appear to combine too well. With a strong pack in front of them, however, they will have every opportunity. Of the selection made, Ennis and Oliver cannot play on Saturday nor go on tour. Brown, McKay and Hohaia can play on Saturday hut not tour, while Kivell will he available only for the tour. The substitutes will be chosen to-day. The curtain-raiser, a match between North and South primary school teams, should provide a good match. The teams should he well matched, and as they have had several trials and' are taught to play the open game associated with secondary schools the match will probably he as great an attraction as the representative senior match. Another feature that will add interest is that the Taranaki team to go to the Wanganui school tournament will he selected from these teams and largely on the form shown on Saturday.
