Other qualities: 16>ts to 190 s per cwt (Is old to Is Bfd per lb). Australiian. —Salted, finest: 189 s to ,192 s par cwt. U malted : 192 sto 194 s per cwt. Other qualities, salted and unisailited : 182 sto 186 s per cwt. Argentine.—Finest: 182 s t:> 186 s pet cwt. Exceptional, ISSs.per ewt. Other qualities: 176 s to 180 s per cwt. Irish.—<Sai4ted, finest: 196 s to. 19? s per cwt. Insulted: 19&s to 2110 s pei cwt. Canadiianx. —Salted, finest: 182 sto 192 s per cwt. Unsalted: 186 s to 194 s per cwt. .Siberian. —176 s to 180 s per ewt. Danish.—2o4s per cwt (Is 9id pei lb). Cheese. Market quiet and steady. Official quotations are: English. —Finest farmers’, firm; 126 s to 130 s per cwt (Is 1-id to, Is 2d per lib). Canadian.-—Coloured 107 s to 108 s per cwit; exceptional, iO!)s per cwt ; white, 107 s to 109 s per cwt. New Zealand.—Coloured, 10Ss- to 109. s per cwt; white, 108 sto 109 sto lifts per ewt (llid to 113 d per lb). A .shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Piako. WOOL, TALLOW AND CASEIN. In connection with the above products, the High Commissioner reported as follows: Wool—West Riding strike lias not been terminated and consumption lessened, but prices are. fairly well maintained, although value more or less nominal. Present quotations for tops are: 64’s (merino), warp, 4s. od; 64’s (merino), average, 4s 4d; 06’s (super halfbred), 2s Did; 50s’ (halfbred), 2s 2-Ad; 40’s prepared (coarse crossbred), Is BAd.
Tallow —Market steady, but spot demand! quiet, fair business being done for shipment. Prices same as last quotations except for mutton, fine, 49s to 49s 6d per cwt; fair to good, 40s to 48s 6di per ewt. Casein Present quotations are: Swiss rennet, £56 to £B4 per ton; Argentine, £46.
