In connection with the above products, the High Commissioner reported as follows: Wool—West Riding strike lias not been terminated and consumption lessened, but prices are. fairly well maintained, although value more or less nominal. Present quotations for tops are: 64’s (merino), warp, 4s. od; 64’s (merino), average, 4s 4d; 06’s (super halfbred), 2s Did; 50s’ (halfbred), 2s 2-Ad; 40’s prepared (coarse crossbred), Is BAd.

Tallow —Market steady, but spot demand! quiet, fair business being done for shipment. Prices same as last quotations except for mutton, fine, 49s to 49s 6d per cwt; fair to good, 40s to 48s 6di per ewt. Casein Present quotations are: Swiss rennet, £56 to £B4 per ton; Argentine, £46.
