CHILD’S TERRIBLE SUFFERINGS. MANILLA, (N.S.AAL), July 17. Tli© body or the eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. AA\ Northey, who Lad ceen missing tor several days, was found yesteiday evening on the Glenbarba Estate, about six miles from the Northey homestead, and within a mil© from trie Glenbarba homestead. He had perished from cold and hunger. The body when found was lying face downwards about 2QO yards from the lA atson’s Creek road. It is estimated that the child had been dead some three or four days, the body- being much discoloured The seven days during which he was wandering were one of the bleakest periods for some years. If for some day’s the child had wandered about he must have suffered great privations in the intense cold, with sleet, rain, and snow, and the knowledge that he was lost.
