ADJOURNMENT SHORTLY. IMPORTANT BILLS POSTPONED. SY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCI ATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, Aug. 3. In the House of Commons the Prime Minister (Mr. S. Baldwin) announced that the House will rise on the 7th or Bth till the lGth of November. The following are among the Bills which will be postponed till the autumn: — Dangerous Drugs, Government of India, Civil Service, and Merchandise Marks on Imported Agricultural Products. Mr. Maxted asked if the House would be reassembled if the industrial troubles became more serious in the interval. Mr. Baldwin said that there was always power to summon the House, and he had no hesitation in giving the assurance that he would do so, but he could not imagine such assurance being necessary.—Re ute r.
