A UNION WITHDRAWS. •»Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYSiuHT. Received Aug. 1, 10.55 a.m. PERTH, Aug. 1. The Fremantle branch of the Seamen’s Union has forwarded a letter to the Fremantle district council of the Australian Labour Party stating that -it lias withdrawn from affiliation with the council. The action was taken as a protest against the recent expulsion from the Labour movement of George Ryce, one of the executive officers. The withdrawal was accepted.
