PLUNKET SOCIETY.
KAPONGA BRANCH. The Kaponga branch of the Blanket Society held its quarterly meeting on Friday afternoon, Airs. A. V . Tait prosidiucr over a good attendance ol members.' The secretary reported a steady increase in the membership. Nurse Dix’s report stated that there was an increase in the number oj mothers and babies attending the Blanket rooms during the quarter. The mirsA’s houis of attendance at the rooms were fixed at 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. cuffing the winter months, thus allowing her time to make any needed calls at-homes on her journey from Hawera lo Kanonga These altered hours take effect from Friday next, 10th inst. Ways and means of raising the necessary funds to carry on veie discussed, and it was decided to run a street stall at some (date in the near future. Donations for same will lie gratefully received by the committee, who will make an active canvass of the district.
