RIVERLEA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) KITCHEN TEA. A verv happy lime was spent in . Ihe local ha'll on '.Monday evening, when Mrs E. Wilis gave a kitchen lea to'Miss Freda Webby. in spite of the unfavourable weather conditions there was a large attendance of guests, and many useful presents were brought. Dancing, cards, and games were indulged in till about 1 a.m.. and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. An excellent supper was provided. The music for the dances was placed by .Mis s S vines anil Messrs Lonsdale and R. Hitchcock. Songs and recitations were given by -Mrs. Hoot and .Messrs Lonsdale. B. Hey, and. M . Hey. , „ 4 After Hie supper Mr. A. Barton, on behalf of Miss Webby, thanked Air. and Airs Wills for their kindness m giving the party, and all present tor their "gifts and attendance. W'KDDIXU. A very pretty and popular wedding was celebrated in the Alethodist Church at Knponga when Air. Albert Y\ illiant Barton, of Hiverlea. was married to Freda Linda oldest daughter of Air. ami Alls. J. A. Webby, of Hiverlea. tlie Rev. Mr. Blakemore being, the officiating clergyman. .Mrs. 0, Webby, of Opiumke. presided at the organ, and as the lnide entered the crowded church on the arm of her father the organ pealed the strains of “The Voice that Breathed O’er Eden.’’ The brim', who was given away by her father, looked very charming anil was attired in cream silk with pearl trimmings and a beautiful bridal veil with the usual orange blossoms, was attended by her sister. Aliss Olive Webby, anil her cousin.-Aliss Phyllis Hitchcock.- as bridesmaids, and by her little sister -J-oyeie as flower girl. The bridesmaids were dressed in pretty salmon pink silk trimmed with white swansdown. and wore pretty flower hatsi and the flower-girl was dressed in pink headed crepe do clime. Air. E. Wills was best, man. After the ceremony a reception was held in Hie Hiverlea' hall, when about one hundred guests sat down to a sumptuous repast. I lie Rev Blakemore presided and the usual toasts were honoured. After the reception the happv c-ouple left by motor eii- route to New 'Plymouth, where the honeymoon is to be'spent.
