THE SHOW.

THE ROOT CROPS. VERY FINE DISPLAY. . A particularly strong section was the root crops, and one of the judges, Mr. J. W. Deem, commented very favourably on the display. This year the swedes showed a marked improvement over exhibits of the past few years, the roots having previously suffered considerably from the ravages of pests.
