PARLIAMENT.
YESTERDAY'S SESSION. (BV TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, .Tune 30. The House of Representatives met at 7.30 p.ni. Mr If. Atmore (Nelson) gave notice of liis intention to move aa amendment to the Adflress-in-Reply. Replying to a question, tlie ITon. W. Nosworthy said there was no discrimination between applicants for loans from the State Advances Office. Every applicant was treated alike, each application being dealt with in rotation as they were made.
A message was received from the Legislative Council stating that they had passed the Imprest Supply Bill No. I.
Mr E. D. McLennan (Franklin) moved that a respectful address be presented to His Excellency the Gov-ernor-General in reply to His Excellency’s Speech to members at the opening of Parliament.
Mr E. P. Hudson (Motueka) seconded the motion. On the motion of Mr T. K. Sidey (Dunedin South), the debate was 'adjourned. The House rose at 0.10 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. to-morrow.
