NEW YORK, June 24. Mr. H. A. Snow, a big game hunter and explorer, who has just returned from two years’ photographing exploration in the Arctic regions, announced the discovery of the remains of the missing members of Stefansson’s North Pole expedition of 1914 on Herald Island. The discovery clears up the mystery; concerning the fate of five members oi the crew, who comprised one of the two parties in which the expedition was divided when it quitted the sinking ship Kariuk and started back to civilisation. The party led by Stefansson arrived safely, but the other, led by the ship’s doctor, was never heard from. The bodies were sixty-five miles from where the Kariuk was lost.
