Ail event arousing great local enthusiasm was Tuesday’s football match, Married v. Single men. Both teams had been in strenuous training, and in view of the fact that a previous mate]) between the same teams resulted in a draw this game was very keen. The married men proved too good for the by os and won by 8 points to 3. There was a large number of spectators present, and afternoon tda was later dispensed in tlie hall. A team picked from Tuesday’s players meets Otakeho on the local ground next Wednesday.
