BRITAIN’S UNEMPLOYED.
LABOUR DEMONSTRATIONS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, June 21. An unemployed demonstration in Trafalgar Square was addressed by Labour members of the House of Commons and others. The proceedings were most orderly. Speakers compared the display of wealth at Ascot with the poverty of the unemployed. They denounced the Government’s policy regarding China. A resolution was carried calling on the Government to establish a national empoyment deveopment board. Other Labour members of Parliament spoke at demonstrations in Glasgow, Hull and elsewhere.
