END OF SESSION. ; COMPLIMENTARY REMARKS. The farmers’ school at Manaia, Avhieli was held this Aveelc, conc'uded yesterday. Mr J. W. Deem delivered an interesting address on “Ensilage,” after Avhich an hour Avas devoted to questions. - Mr J. F. SteA 7 enson, in proposing a hearty A 7 ote of thanks to lecturers for their valuable Avork. complimnted them al.'. on the A r ery interesting -series of addresses. Avhich Avould be of great-as-sistance to farmers generally.. He 'regretted that there had not been a larger attendance, but" those- who- were not present Avould be the losers. He paid a tiib”te to the help given.to the farming industry by the Hawera' Star, and said the publicity given was «x----tremolv valuable. In his vote of thanks he included the Department , and their off’oers. and the Haivera Star. Mr Dakers cordially endorsed the remarks of Mr Stevenson. The A 7 ote was carried bv acclamation, and Messrs Deem, Ford and Page briefly replied. The ladies entertained the party at a very nice afternoon tea, and before dispersing the meeting carried, with, musical honours, a hcartv A r ote of thanks to-the ladies. Special mention "■as made to the work of Mrs Dakers, Mrs Gamlin. Misses Clague, the Betts family and Mrs Paterson.
