CYCLONIC CONDITIONS
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHI Received June 20, 11.15 a.m. SYDNEY, June 20. Cyclonic conditions are ruling on the, east coast. According to a meteorologist, the cyclone is of an extensive nature and one of the worst experienced for years. Yesterday jt was centred at Rockhampton and was moving south. Heavy downpours have already been experienced at Sydney and along the coast. E'lood warnings have been issued and coastal shipping is affected. The schooner Theriault, hound from Newcastle to Teltopu, put in at Sydney for shelter. The outlook for the football is not bright.
BRISBANE, June 20. Torrential rain, accompanied by wind which at times reached cyclonic force, caused considerable damage in southern Queensland. Many houses were unroofed. Creeks 1 and rivers are rising, and low-lying land has been inundated.
