PROCEEDS SHOULD REACH £3O. Proceeds already in hand from the Hawera Plunket Society’s “.shop,” which was open for business yesterday, tofaL £25 ss; but .several small returns' have .still to come, and it is hoped to clear £3O over all. This total .is .inelusive of the proceeds from the .sheep-guessing competition. This was won. by Mr. E. Dixon, who guessed STjJ'libs, whereas the actual weight of the sheep was 88 lbs. Mr. Dixon handed ins prize—a. £1 note—back to the society. The committee wishes to* thank all who gave produce for sale, also all patrons of the shop.
