As in past years the function was a great success, and undoubtedly those who were present spent a pleasant evening. The hall and stage were tastefully decorated with paper, balloons and streamers, while the music, in the hands of the Serenaders’ Orchestra, left nothing to be desired. An excellent supper was set out in the Horticultural Society’s hall opposite, a marked improvement upon the arrangement of past years. Thanks are due to the ladies’ committee for the splendid manner in which it carried out its responsibilities in. the matter of the supper arrangements, and it was largely due to its efforts that the function was so successful. Messrs F. Palmer, A. E. Linn, E. Gibson and A. Paine carried out the duties of M’s.C. in an efficient manner.
