A telegram from Hackettstown, New Jersey, states that at least sixteen persons were killed and scores were injured when a passenger train was wrecked near here early this morning. During an electrical storm the tracks were twisfed by lightning and undermined bv rains. The passengers were mostly aliens, who intended to sail to-day for Europe. They were asleep when the crash came, and fought madly in steam-filled cars. • Reuter.
