THE DISPERSAL SALE The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Organisation Society of New Zealand, Ltd., reports that, at the Moumahaki State Farm dispersal sale on Tuesday, the Ryeland ewes averaged about 5% gns, and were mostly secured by outside buyers. This average must b© considered very satisfactory, in view of the fact that the majority of the ewes were four and five years old. The top price pen were secured by Ellis Bros. (Bulls), 9gns, who also bought five at 6gns, five at 5.1 g vis, five at Signs; Mr R. 6. White (Maxwelltown), five at Bfgns, five at 3sgns; Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. (Wanganui), five at sgns; Mr J. J. Welsh (Wairarapa), five at 6'gns; Mr A. L. Souter (Wairanga, Waikato), five at Of gns. five at sgns, five at 2:1 gns; Mr A. Davidson (Hnkunua, Wairarapa), five at 4-Jgns; Mr R. G. Seown (Hurleyvide), five at Ogns. five at 3gns, one ram 6igns; Mr M. Tiffen (Kopua, Hawke’s Bay), one ram sgns ; Mr John Forbes (Normanliy), one ram 4gns, to Mr A. T j. Souter. A line of 19 .four and five-year ewes in lamb to Southdowns made 355, 151 do. in lamb to Ryeland rams 32s 6d, 101 do. 32s Id. lambs 22s 6d. The Berkshire pigs were well competed for. The three and four-year sows made ILigns, 12gns, Signs, Sgns, 71 gns and 7gns. Maiden sows made from 4gns to 7gns, boars (seven months) 7gns to Signs. Ayrshire bull 20gns to AV. Hall (Lepperton). others sgns. Fat and forward cows £5 J.6s, store cows £3 16s, dairy cows £5 to £9, weaner heifers £4 2s 6d.
