The paramount chief, Tembus, on be-, half of all the Bantu people, conferred on him the title of “The Shining Sun,” and also presented him with six oxen with broken horns as a token of complete submission. The Prince wore the brilliant scarlet uniform of the Welsh Guards, which greatly delighted and impressed the natives. . . ....
