• : MAN At A CLUB MANY NEW. MEMBERS. NEW GOILIF HOUSE. A very decided fillip has been given to the Golf Club in Manaia, by the accession of thirty new members. Thus has created keen interest to be taken in the affairs of the club, and one result of the revival has been the decision to. erect a golfhou.se.. ft will be a fine asset to the club, and a much needed addition. The house is being built by Mr. M. Ryan to a. plan drawn by him, This includes a large clubroopi 18iT x 14ft, with Oft x 6ft verandah op the north-eastern aspect, and a kitchenette at the back, 9ft x Oft, fitted with necessary conveniences. The ladies especially will welcome the new lionise. The spot chosen is quit© tire best one on. the course, the house looking out to the north-east with a loveiy View of the mountain, and well protected from south and west winds. It is to the south of ‘lie sixth holes l and nicely surrounded by belts oi trees. It pas been decided to open the iiew house by an, afternoon’s competitions on Saturday next, when it i*s hoped a number of pla.versi from other clubs in the district will be present,
