LATE COLONEL MALONE.

Two very fitting tributes .were paid to the memory of the late Colonel Malone at the recent reunion of the Wellington Regiment in Palmerston North. Air. J. A. - Nash, M.P. made reference to the early days ’of the unit, when the men assembled at Awapuni under the late Colonel Malone; Their old commander, stated the sneaker, although a strict disciplinarian was a man full of kindness and he lin'd left nothing - undone for the welfare of the regiment. His name was, revered and would , long be remembered .. Colonel C. G. Powles, in responding on behalf of the mounted men on Gallipoli, paid tribute to the .late Colonel Malone', both as a soldier and a gentleman.
