Delayed reports state the earthquake on the. oth inst. at Saiton resulted in eight deaths and many were injured. Fifty liosues were destroyed. One house with five adults and one child was swallowed up., The earthquake was accompanied by three tidal waves. A cable received on Tuesday stated: Several are dead as the result of a series of ini nor earthquakes in Samar Negros and Leyte last week, according to delayed advices,from, the areas affected. The damage to property was considerable; one church was destroyed.
