(From Ouir Own Correspondent.) SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL COMMITTEE'. T'he soldiers’ memorial committee met last night, Mr. G. W. Tayler presiding. Those in .charge of the various areas reported that & total of approximately £175 had so far been promised am<; the canvas of the district had not yei been completed. It was decided to accept the very kind offer of t!\e New Plymouth Band to render a programme of .sacred nui.sk in the park at a date to be arranged later. MEMORIAL SERVICE, At the request of His Worship the Mayor (Mr. Ira J. Bridger), the El thorn clergy have decided to arrange a united memorial service to the late R.t, Hon. W. F. Massey in the Town Hall at 2.30 on Thursday afternoon.
