Junior Cricket Union for the final match between No-rth Sydney and Balmain juniors for the Martin Shield. North Sydney had previously informed the Union that it would not play owing to the sacredness of Anzac Day. The Union then awarded the shield to Balmain. North Sydney thereupon held a protest meeting anti decided to secede from the union. The mover of the motion declared, that they would rather sacrifice the 'shield than he false to their fallen comrades. If racing, football arid other clubs could abandon their .‘•ports, surely cricket bodies should do no less. The meeting generally endorsed the sentiment.
