JEWISH WOMEN SLAVES. POLISH RABBIS PROTEST. The .Polish rabbis have issued a remarkable manifesto against what they term “the dictatorship ot Paris fashions,” before which, it. asserts Jewish daughters are bowing like slaves. The wearing of immoral dresses is described in the manifesto as the greatest of sins. According to the holy Jewish law, married women who wear immodest dress may he. divorced. The rabbis declare that every husband and father who tolerates this immedestv in dress ouerht to be expel’otl from Jewish institutions. Tailors and dressmakers who make the dresses should also, they say, hear responsibility for the sin.
