A coroner’s jury in Chicago found that Mrs. Shepherd, wife ot William Shepherd, was per husbands accomplice in the murder of William McCuntock, whose fortune of a million dollars the Shepherd’s inherited. The evidence disclosed that the plot to obtain the fortune was hatched sixteen years ago, when William Shepherd administered mercury to MeClintock’s mother, causing her death. Her son inherited the fortune. Tr.en in order to obtain this. Shepherd last December gave the boy typhoid germs. The jury found that the accused had a guilty knowledge of both crimes.---Sydney Sun Cable.
