A FINE DESIGN

A plan of the. proposed new gates which the Eltham people are to provide. for the new sohoo' were shown to the Alinister for < Education, Sir .Tames Parr, at Eltham yesterday. They are verv handsome in design, and should look extremely well when erected. The plan shows two separate gates, inscribed as follows: —On one side:. “They died for us,” and on the other “Honour their memory.” and be'nw on p.teh side of these will be a marble slab, on which will l>e inscribed the names o.f the men who iell in the Great War. The gates will be a distinct asset and ornament to the school.
