LABOUR IN EGAIONT. Labour activities in the Egmont eiec-. torate have resulted in the formation of a , branch of the Labour Party at Opunake. Supporters of the Labour Party recently met at Opunake in order to form a branch of the party. There was a good attendance, Air. R. Carlson presiding, and at this inaugural meeting twenty-eight members were enrolled. A committee of seven was elected and Air. Q. W. Hayward was appointed secretary. It was decided to start an election fpnd and to use every endeavour to bring further branches of the party into existence in thq Egmont electorate.
