Tlie Farmers’ Co-operative Organisation Society- reporft as under: — At Qpunake on Monday, 20th inst., report a small yarding, consisting cniefly of boner cows. We quote: Prime ewes, £2 Is Gd; fat iambs, £1 10s; forward empty cows, £4 to £4 lGs; fat cows, £5 to £5 8s; best works cows. £3 to £4; boners, £1 5s to £2 10s; bulls, £2 to £3; weaner steers, £2.
At Maiiaia on Tuesday, 21st inst., we had a good yarding to a full attendance of buyers. Pigs again came forward in large . numbers. We quote: Pigs, good stores £1 Bs, smaller 'lßs, weaners 14s Gd to 16s; heavy works cows £2* 13s to £3, boners £1 5s to £2 10s, fat and forward cows £4 16s to £5 11s, prime cows to £6 16s, dairy lieiJers to £9, good quality well done weaner heifers £2 10s to £3, others to £l.
At Stony River on Tuesday we report a small yarding, the whole of which was disposed of at satisfactory rates.
On the same day at Stratford we conducted our usual fortnightly sale, and are pleased to report a large yarding, the whole of which was disposed of at the hammer at satisfactory prices. We quote: Fat cows £5 to £5 18s, heavy works cows £4 to £4 10s, 6tore and boner cows at late rates; Jersey cross 1.0. heifers to £5 18s, bulls to £6; best Jersey weaner heifers £4 4s. others £1 to £2. At Inglewood on Wednesday we penned a large yarding of cows and are able to report ■ a good sale. We quote: Fat cows £5 to £5 17s 6d, heavy works cows £3 10s to £4~TOs, store and boner cows at late rates, mixed 2£ and 14-year steers £4 10s, small weaner steers 30s. good Jersey weaner heifers (line of 20) £3 10s, Jersey cross weaners 15s to £2 12s 6d according to quality, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 32s 6d, small lambs 17s Gd. small 2-tooth wethers 275. Everything sold under the hammer at satisfactory prices.. The following is a range of prices:—Fat cows £8 18s. to £5 11s. heavy boners £3 2s 6d to £4 10s, ordinary £2 to £2 los, canners £1 5s to £1 11s, weaner pigs to 16s Gd. At Eltharu on Wednesday, April 23, we had a medium' yarding of both sheep and cattle. We report: Small 2,4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes r.w. Romwey rams 24s 4d, fat cows £5 10s to £6, heavy boners £3 3s to £4 15s, medium ditto £2 10s to £3. canners £1 7e Gd to £1 12s, works bulls £4 9s to £4 ss. At Hawera on Thursday, 24th inst., a good yarding of cattle came forward to a good attendance of buyers, and everything sold at current prices : —Fat cowsjCo 16s to £5 12s, heavy boners £2 15s to £3 10s, medium £2 to £2 14s, canners £1 10s to £2, empty heifers 27s 6d. springing heifers' £8 10s, weaner heifers £2 14s to 21s, weaner pigs 7s to. 16s 6d.

At the tallow sales 1358 casks were offered and 640 sold. There was an average decline of one shilling. Quotations: Mutton 45s 9d to 43s beef 44s 6d to 42s 9d. BURNSIDE QUOTATIONS. BY CABLE-I’KESS ASSOCIATION—COPYHICHT. DUNEDIN, April 22. Sheep were up in price at Burnside to-day, but early in the fat cattle sale prices were lower than for the previous week. Sheep.—Prime wethers made from 52s 6d to 58s Id, medium from 44s to 48s Gd; light from 35s to 41s; prime ewes from 38s to 425; medium from 30s to 355" 6d; old and inferior sorts to £1 Bs. Lambs. —Prices were “firm at last week’s rates. Extra prime animals sold up to 48s; prime from 39s to 425; medium from 36s to 38s; others from 30s to 345. Fat Cattle. —Prime bullocks went at from £l3 to £l6; medium from £lO 10s to £lil 15s; light from £7 to £9 ss; prime cows and heifers from £8 to £10: medium from £5 15s to £6 17s 6d; old and inferior from £4.
ADDINGTON MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH. April 22. At Addington market there was a record , yarding of fat cattle to-day, whilst all other classes of stock were also in big suppy. It was a free safe, with an easing in cattle in the later stages. Store Sheep.—A very heavy yarding lor this late season of the year, but wethers and lambs and good classes of ewes practically maintained late prices. Fat Lambs. —There was an improved market for export lamlbs, which made to Light sorts rvere also a shade firmer, exceeding the schedule prices for export. > • , m Fat Sheep.—Values were better than last week by Is 6d for ewes and Is for wethers. No passings. Extra prime wethers, 47s ;■ prime, 41s 6d to 455; medium, 38s to 41s; light 33s to ,375; extra, prime ewes, 40s 9d; prime 34s 6d to 31s; old, 20s to 26s 6d. Fat Cattle. —Extra prime beef made to 37s 6d; prime 33s to 365; medium, 31s iso 34s ; light. 27s to 30s; and rough down to 15s; extra prime steers, CIS 17s" 6d; prime, £l3 15s to £l6; medium, £ll 5s to £l3 10s; light' £8 10s to £11; rough, £5 10s to £8; extra prime heifers, £l2 15s 6d prime, £8 to £lO 10s; medium, £4 to £7 10s; extra prime cows, £l2 10s; prime, £7 to £9 ss; medium, £4 15s to £6 15s; light, £3 5s to £4 10s; aged, £2 10s to £3.
Dairy Cattle. —Good cows and heifers at profit met with a free sale, but inferior dragged. Extra good second to fourth calvers. £ll to £ls; medium, £7 10s to £lO 10s; poor cows, 30s to £3; extra good springing heifers, £9 10s to £l2; others, £4 to £B. Fat Pigs.—Porkers. 48s to 60s (average price per lb., 7Jd to 8-Jd); baconers; rOs to 112 s (average price per lb., 6d to 7*d); droppers, 60s to £6 15s.
