A Maori woman,, named Hera .Matewhitu, said to be 108 years old, died at Huntly on Good Friday. Slie was generally' known as “Old Ngawai,” and dated lier, birth back to 1817. She has thus lived in the reigns of six British sovereigns, and was born only two vears after the battle of Waterloo.
