The play this afternoon centred in the semi-finals between Champion, ol Pitzroy, and Smart, of New Plymouth, in a good contest Champion's rink proved too good and won.by 22 to 11, the last head not being played. As we, go to press the linals are being played between Champion, of Fitzroy, and Robb, of Hawera. MANAWATU SEMI-FINALS. I u the semi-finals ■at the Manawatu Bowling Centre’s, full-rink tournament, C. D. Eraser (Palmerston North) beat Reid (LvaP, Bay) by 24 to 23 after an extra head had been, played. Munro (Island Bav) beat Wardrop (Woodville) by 2l to 11.
