AUSTRALIANS IN LONDON

With £4 between himself and starvation, and no orcsnect of getting back to Australia. Mr J‘. H. Mac Donnell, ot Sydney, has arrived in London from Geneva, where he underwent the Spah--1 inf-er treatment for tuberculosis. He cheerfully said to The Herald special representative: “I am nearly cured of life-long tuberculosis. Had 'funds I would have been completely cured. The Australian Government should use myself and Messrs Sutherland G. Atkins and H. W. Lowe, from Sydney, who have been greatly benefited from Mr Spahlinger’s treatment, as testimony of its efficacy. “It was a tragedy that T was unable to remain till .June. Mr Spahlinger was a gentleman. He did everything possible. Australia House cannot grant me a passage unless T repay the fare, but I cannot work.” Mr Mac Donnell is secretary of the Australian Civilian T.B. Association. Messrs Lowe and Atkins, in whom the disease hae been definitely arrested according to Dr. Stepney, a lung specialist, will leave for Australia shortly.
