PARDON TO HUSBAND
AN OLD-TIME OFFENCE
AUSTIN (Texas), March 31. “Ma” Ferguson, the woman Governor of Texas, has signed an order ■-ranting pardon to her husband, who was formerly Governor, but who was i©moved front office eight yeans ago for misappropriation of State funds. Bystanders declared that there was mist, in the eves of the Governor when she freed her husband from official blame for Ills old-time olienoe, but the old man accepted his pardon without the -slightest sign of emotion. “Ma” Ferguson won her election on a campaign against the Ku Klux Klan. and in favour of the vindication of “Farmer Jim.”
