In the House of Commons, replying to a question regarding Empire wireless, the Postmaster-General, Sir V . L. Mitchell Thomson, said that the Rugoy high- power station would be expected to he completed in November. Sites of the beam stations for communication with Canada and South. Atiica have been placed at the disposul of the Marconi company. The stations were tine for completion early in October. The sites for beam stations for communication with India and Australia have' been submitted for the company s approval!. These should be completed within nine months of the provision or the site. The latest reports indicated that the South African and Canadian stations would be completed about the same time as the- corresponding station here. Stations in India and Australia would-probably not be iready before the end of the year or early in 1926. The dominions have been invited to nominate representatives on the permanent committee, to be presided over by the Assistant Postmaster-General to consider practical details of the working of the services, including, for example, routing of messages and tariffs. —Reuter.
