.PROPOSED CAPITAL LEVY. WILL ROUSE STRONG OPPOSITION BY GABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT LONDON, April 6. The Paris correspondent of the Daily Chronicle states that M. Dentynzie, the new Minister for Finance, is believed to be opposed to a capital levy, and instead proposes to print a few milliards of francs more paper money and take measures to ensure the payment of unpaid taxes on war profits. The Socialists remain convinced that a levy on capital is the only remedy, but 1.52 senators of the Democratic Left warned the Premier that he must not count on them \to pass a capital levy, and the majority of the Radical Left in the House of Representatives,' headed by M. Loucheur, threatened to break from the bloc. If the Government is defeated M. Briand will probably be asked to form a Ministry, in which MM. Demonzie and Loucheur wil] be included.
