AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP. SATURDAY’S RACE. (BY TELEGRAPH -PRESS ASSOCIATION. TAURANGA, April 6. Hannan and Hadfield are steadily training for the Australian rowing championship, to be rowed here on Saturday next. The race is timed .for 2.15 p.ni.. and will he rowed over practically a straight course. Both men are in good condition, and some fast times have been put up over the course. The weather and water have been ideal for training. It is understood that Goodsell has promised Hannan, if he-.,wins on Saturday, the first chance of rowing for the world’s championship.
