SURPLUS ESTIMATED. BY CARLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-—COPYRIGHT, LONDON, March 31. The results of the first Labour Budget lor. the financial year, which closed to-day, show that instead of the estimated deficit of £7,946,000, after taking into account supplementary expenditure, the surplus is £3,658,884. The net decrease in revenue, compared with 1923-24. was £37,733,899, which was chiefly due to the falling off in Customs and excise.
