PERTH. March 29. The Australasian trotting championship was decided m the presence of a large attendance. Great Hope (New Zealand) won the final heat and the championship, re eeivipg an ovation with musical hon ours. The deciding event Was the third race over two miles. . Results.: —

Second heat. —Great Hope (New Zealand)!, Globe Pool (New South Wales) 2, Vin Direct (Victoria) 3. Won byten yards. Time, 4.37* (first mile 2.18 i, second mile. 2.19). Filial,- —Great Hope 1, Globe Pool 2. Taraire 3. The winner led throughout md won by a foot, with the same distance between second and third. Time. 1.34 A (first mile 2.17:), second mjlc 2.17)). Greal Hope scored seven points, and Vin Direct was second with six points.
