CONDITION SATISFACTORY. (Extraordinary.) WELLINGTON, March 30. The Prime Minister’s illness lately developed more serious symptoms. After consultation between his medical advisers and Dr. Carrick Robertson, it was decided that investigation by operation was essential. > The operation took place in the Bowen Street Hospital early this morning.'
