ALL BLACKS IN SYDNEY

At the annual meeting of the New South Wales Rugby Union a highly satisfactory report was presented, which showed that during the year a debit of £935 had been transformed into a credit of £lll6. The All Blacks’ visit showed a profit ol £1627. It was stated t hat the union game was again nourishing and popular. It was also mentioned with pride that New South Wales’ victory in the first test was the only win scored against the All Blacks. The president (Sir Henry Braddon) declared that the union had passed from the valley of despair and was now on the heights. Generous recognition was made of the sportsmanship of the New Zealanders in risking defeat and injury by plnving New South Wales on the eve of their British tour. They played, said the speaker, as if no English tour were ahead.
