JEWELLER RECEIVES DAMAGES. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.! MASTER-TON, March 12 At the Supreme Court, in the case of George Dallas, a jeweller, against the Masterton Picture and Entertainment Company, a claim for £l4O os, for alleged damage to stock, and £IOO general damages, caused by flood water coming through the Cosy Theatre buildings into the plaintiff’s shop, the jury awarded damages: —(a) r Lo stock in' trade, fittings, chattels, and customers’ goods, £l4O ss; (b). inconvenience of business through being compelled to close his shop, and otherwise, £6O.
