BAXTER WINS ON POINTS. (BY TELEOBACB CHESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, March 9. Ern Baxter (9.7) outpointed Jimmy Hill (9.5) in a fifteen round contest tonight for a purse of £l5O. It was the best fight seen here for years. Both were aggressive throughout and, showed great cleverness in hitting, blocking and ducking. Hill shone in the earlier rounds, but Baxter was superior over the Inter sessions. In the fourteenth round Hill took the count for eightthree times.
